'The Wall' in Derwent Bridge

This was the most impressive thing we saw...well, ok, Tassie is absolutely riddled with impressive places - but The Wall was spectacular. The carvings so intricate and expressive of the history of the island.

Karen’s response:

Jane, thanks so much for sharing this.

I had not heard of this and was intrigued, so a quick Google later I was finding out more about the Wall in the wilderness.

I like what the artist Greg Duncan had to say about Tasmania and The Wall:

“I was captured by the beauty of the Highlands right from the start. When I first visited here in 1990, I knew this was the place I wanted to be. The area has a fascinating history, and that is what I want to document through my carving of The Wall."

Jane, I noticed that the artist Greg Duncan was born in Belgrave, in the Dandenong Ranges, where you’re from. Something in common there!
