This accommodation got my attention because:
- it is home to the Wilderness Gallery which showcases wilderness and landscape photography
- you can enjoy a massage at the Calm Day Spa there
- it is set among snow gums and alpine woodland
- beautiful Dove Lake is just minutes away
- it's situated on boundary of the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park

This accommodation got my attention because:
- it's apparently the largest log cabin in the Southern Hemisphere
- it has an award-winning restaurant
- massage therapist services are available on-site
- it's set in a temperate rain forest, just above Lake Cethana
- it's just a 30 minute drive to the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park
The Lodge at Tarraleah

This accommodation got my attention because:
- it's a luxury hotel which has been converted from a 1930s Art Deco style building
- it's set on a 300 acre estate on an elevated highland plateau overlooking the Tasmanian wilderness
- rates include 4 course dinner and cooked breakfast
- one of their wilderness guides is credited with the last reputable Tasmania Tiger sighting in Tasmania
- it's won multiple awards
